004 - Stone

I’ve been going to the temple with my mum every Saturday. She prays, I observe. It’s become one of my favorite things to do.

I observe the people, the trees, the ground and the hawks. 

The temple is made of stone, the idols made of marble and stone.

The more I observed these people, the more I began to wonder -

does the ground know its being prayed to ? 

Do the floor of temple and the stones within, know the weight each person carries, their stories, Their ups and downs ? 

In comparison to a rock that’s over a million years old, we’re insignificant. 

Or am I thinking of this the wrong way ? Are the stones there because it wants to be ? 

Uh, I’m not sure, I don’t know. I’d love to learn more but I don’t know how to talk to get there. Maybe someday I will.
