017 - Copper

I met an old friend today, he’s getting a little old now.

I’ve known him since he was a baby, about a month old, and now seeing him weaken is heartbreaking.

He was overjoyed seeing me, couldn’t stop jumping. Although, I don’t think he had the energy for it, but he stayed as strong as he could.

Being around him for the hour I was, reminded me of what I’d missed out on when I moved out from home.

Life goes on I guess, I’m just happy he’s grown up to be a big happy boy.

He goes by copper, he’s this beautiful blonde Labrador, that I met when he was about the size of my palm and today at 9 years old, he’s a fluff ball.

He jumped on me assuming he’s still the baby he once was.

I don’t know when I’ll be home next to see him but today was beautiful, I’m always going to miss him and the times we grew up together

:))
