Okay, day 019, I’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time.
Tesseract, most of y’all may not know them, but they’ve been my number 1 band for the last 4 years straight and watching them for the first time, meeting them, talking to them about their stories and how they’ve come this far has been an incredible experience.
What a fucking tight set. They were on par with snarky puppy.
There was this point when they were playing smile/arrow from their album sonder. I was in the moshpit, dead in center. Bawling my eyes out, I haven’t felt that much emotion in any gig, not even guns n roses when they played November rain.
I truly appreciate a high value production and I feel like the effort that’s gone into writing a set like this, all the way from programming the lights, to the sound, to the outfits and make up, makes every penny worth it.
I can’t feel my body anymore, it’s 3:13am and I think I’m minutes away from passing out but thank you tesseract, for existing and putting on a show like that.
A lot more happened today, met the guys from Space is all we have, The down troddence, Chaos, Pineapple Express, aathma and honestly a lot of the scene back home. Bonded over the genre and the music, there’s no feeling like it.
I love this genre and the people that make it what it is, today’s gig was a solid reminder to continue doing what I do, purely because there is nothing like it out there.
