034 - Sunk Cost Fallacy

034 - Sunk Cost Fallacy

There comes a time when a certain project’s operational cost is a lot higher than its ROI, but regardless of how high that number gets, you continue doing it, not for any reason but out of love for the dream and the hope of getting there someday. I’m part of a few projects like that. Some good, some complex, some bad.

But would you continue doing that project if you weren’t given the respect you deserved, it gets kind of toxic and quite frankly disturbs the focus required by other parts of life.

I mean I don’t know, sometimes I feel like it’s not worth it, other times I feel like I’ve wanted this for years and now that I have it; it’s better than all the years I’ve waited.

It’s essentially a classic case of sunk cost fallacy.

I don’t know what to do, I had a friend tell me, follow your heart. My heart and mind aren’t on the same side on this one.

Anyways, here’s some postcards from this super vibey guitar store I was at. 034 was good, quite a bit of work, some for callous, a lot more for a few other projects.
