Okay, Idk what’s been happening lately but I’ve really started liking instrumentals, ofc prog metal, but just no vocals.

It’s the 23rd of may, 1 am, A couple hours ago, I drove back from my friend’s birthday, dropped him off and as soon as he got down, I turned up Ibuiltthesky, then plini, then arch echo, then animals as leaders and then a song I worked on 25 hours. The artwork still remains one of my favorite works.

I don’t get it, all these years, I viewed an instrumental track as incomplete. Turns out the song’s always been complete, it was just a perspective issue. I’ve viewed most lyrical music from a story teller’s perspective, I understand the lyrics, the story, the emotion and I’ve come to a conclusion that in most cases its the vocals driving the story.

However, lately, instrumental music, are incredible open ended stories. There’s nothing like it, I feel like songs with a fixed vocal theme is like caging a person to think and feel a certain way, there’s no room for relatability, but with an instrumental, the mind is free to feel however it wants to feel.

I like this new perspective, it’s different, I’ve always been into electronic instrumentals but prog metal instrumentalists, as much as I liked their music and respected them, I didn’t really have my goosebumps moment until a few hours ago.

so yeah. Send me more instrumentals.
